Memorial
Day Services will be held on Monday, May
30th starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Lincoln
American Legion Post 263 in the parking lot,
weather permitting.
The guest speaker this year will be Chaplain
Lieutenant Colonel Karen J. Diefendorf, US
Army, Retired. Chaplain Diefendorf has a
24-year history of service in the Army and a
lengthy history of service to her faith here
in Logan County. She received her Christian
Education and Master of Divinity in Pastoral
Care and Counseling from Lincoln Christian
College.

She served as the Academic Dean in the Undergraduate
College of what is now LCU from 2006 to 2010, and spent
13 years serving local parishes in Lincoln and Elkhart.
