On
Saturday, July 30th, seven members of Lincoln Boy Scout
Troop 102 with three of the leaders embarked on a
journey to the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. In
the front row, left to right are leader Brett Aukamp,
Scouts Jackson Mathon, Riley Simpson and leader Kyle
Simpson.
In the back row are Caleb Zirkelbach, Aidan Alaniz,
Soren Aukamp, David Morrow and leader Mark Mathon.
Eight
Days later, the scouts posed for a picture at the apex
of Comanche Peak. The elevation there was over 11,000
feet above sea level and the highest point the scouts
would see while on their hiking adventure.
