Everyone deserves a place to call
home. The Central Illinois Veterans Commission has a
singular mission of working to provide local veterans
with a better quality of life. This includes giving
priority to offering affordable homeownership
opportunities to all veterans. Right now, the CIVC is
taking applications for two new homes to be built on
Decatur Street in Lincoln. The small homes are perfect
for one or two occupants with an open floorplan kitchen,
dining, and living area, large bedroom, full sized bath,
laundry room, central heating and air conditioning. The
homes have a small footprint but offer plenty of room
and comfort.
If you or someone you know is a veteran in need of a
home, please read the story in today’s edition of
Lincoln Daily News.
Groundbreaking for the two new homes will be held in
early May.
