Lincoln shows off a box of day-old pheasant
chicks for the camera.
This past Saturday the public was invited to
come out to the propagation center where
they could learn about what the center is
used for, and also take home a free chick if
they chose.

Local
Folks in Lincoln have been wondering
what is going on in the vacant lot at the intersection of College
and Woodlawn. This week a sign went up along Woodlawn that implies
the location will be the new home of an urgent care facility. A
quick check with Mayor Tracy Welch confirmed that there is an urgent
care coming to Lincoln.
Checking into it a little further, the building will be the home of
a new Central Illinois Urgent Care office, and the fifth such office
managed by that medical group. The new urgent care will join
facilities in Effingham, Forsyth, Litchfield, and Taylorville.
Lincoln Daily News will bring readers more information as it becomes
available.
