Beginning this
evening, Tuesday, March 12th, and until further
notice, the Lincoln City Council will hold it’s
weekly meetings at the Lincoln Police Station, 710
Fifth Street. Meetings will be held in the Police
training center and will be open to the public.
The move has been made because the elevator in city
hall is being upgraded. According to the open
meetings act, the city must make reasonable
accommodations for persons with disabilities.
Because the elevator will be shut down during the
upgrades, the city can not provide that “all access”
at city hall.
Tonight’s meeting will be the first Committee of the
Whole workshop session for the month of March. The
meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
