This year, the Logan County Young
Conservatives chose to place their flags of
remembrance on the lawn of the Atlanta Public
Library. The flags that represent the nearly 3,000
lives lost on September 11, 2001, during the
horrible attack on the United States by terrorists,
make for a solemn and moving sight as the number
fills the lawn from edge to edge.
This is the 23rd anniversary of that terrible day in
American history and it is the goal of the group to
assure that here at home, we not ever forget the
sacrifice of life on the Eastern side of our
country.
We cried, we thanked God that we were here in the
Midwest, we prayed that no trouble would come to our
community and that those we knew and loved serving
in the fight for our freedom would survive and
prevail in the days ahead.
May we all, without bias, stand with this group and
proclaim we will not forget.
