While an afternoon practice was in
order for the popular young singer, Emi
Sunshine, she also had a little time for
fun. She made fast friends with a couple
Lincoln girls and they tootled around the
Pioneer Village together. [Illinois Route 66
Scenic Byway]
Railsplitter Association president, Bob Rankin, said
that they were most appreciative of a donation from
Lincoln Speedway. Speedway organizers held 50/50
drawings as a fundraiser and contributed $1,600 to
the Railsplitter Festival. These and other funds allowed
the Association expand evening entertainment that
included a performance by the amazing Emi Sunshine.
Also added this year were performances in Trick
Riding and Drill Team horse performances and Cosmic
Bowling at Logan Lanes.
