Cronin Brothers VFW

hosts vendor market at the Railsplitter

W

ith the Abraham Lincoln National

Railsplitting Festival moving to

two locations on Fifth Street near to the

Cronin Brothers VFW, the VFW became

a part of the offering this year with a

Vendor Market held inside Freedom Hall

and outside the building as well.

There were a few vendors who took

advantage of what turned out to be a

mild, partly sunny day, to set up outside.

Among those was the Robert E. Graue

Detachment of the Marine Corp. The

local group was collecting Toys for Tots,

a give-away event that will be held closer

to Christmas. They were also holding a

raffle, again for Toys for Tots. The big

prize was a gas grill, with dollars earned

going to make necessary purchases

in conjunction with the annual giving

event. That was also the tent to visit for

some great food. Volunteers from the

detachment were getting busy cooking

up chops for sandwiches to be sold

throughout the day.
