How do you get going on a fitness regimen best
suited to you?
One option that makes great sense, especially if
you have not been staying in shape, would be to
meet with a personal trainer or fitness coach.
Our certified personal trainers, and sports and
conditioning coaches at the Lincoln Park District
are friendly, knowledgeable and motivating.
Our professional trainers are qualified to assist
anyone at any fitness level to obtain their fitness or
wellness goals.
At the Lincoln Park District our trainers facilitate
balance and wellness into each individualized
program. This helps our clients achieve optimal
results from each training session.
Trainers work one-on-one with Park District
clients using a variety of exercises with focus on
form and technique for specific muscle groups.
Sessions may consist of strength, cardiovascular,
flexibility, speed, and agility.
The personal trainers and coaches at the park
district touch on the importance of nutrition
but are not licensed nutritionists. We focus on
moderation, portion control and balance in diet to
help clients make better choices. We emphasize
long-term lifestyle changes rather than short term
challenges.
During the first training meeting, the main focus
is on goal setting and getting to know one another.
This is also a good time to take measurements
and/or body fat calculations to track progress
throughout the training.
Our training packages may be purchased in 30
minute or 1 hour sessions. For best results, we
suggest personal training at least once a week and
incorporating a few of our group fitness classes
in to the routine. Our trainers may also decide to
assign other strength or cardiovascular exercises
throughout the week that fit a specific need, sport
or goal.
The Lincoln Park District’s trainers all take great
pride in helping those from our community and
the surrounding area to achieve their fitness
goals. If you are not seeing results in your
current workout routine, are bored or just need a
challenge, our trainers are here to motivate and
hold you accountable.
Make it a lifestyle change. We promise, you will
not be sorry.
