2016 Wellness Expo
promotes living healthy
inward and outward
Story and Photos
by Nila Smith
As we age, staying healthy and
physically fit can become a challenge.
On hand Saturday were a number of
folks who were willing to talk about
what our options are for staying
healthy in the “golden years.”
There are times when living a safe
and healthy lifestyle is something
that seniors cannot accomplish living
independently. In this community,
older citizens are fortunate that
there are a number of assisted living
facilities that can provide their
residents with private apartment
or home spaces while at the same
time offering opportunities for
socialization and physical activity.
In addition, these facilities also
provide assistance and oversight with
management of medications, required
physical therapy, as well as nutrition.
Those on hand included Castle Manor
and St. Clara’s Manor, Christian
Village, Timber Creek Village, and
the soon to be open Copper Creek
Village, which will be a residential
facility for those who are dealing with
memory loss.
