Bryson Wayne Boyer

The 3 ½ month old infant son of Joshua Boyer and Amanda Miner, Bryson Wayne Boyer, passed away at 2 p.m. May 10 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Bryson was born in Lincoln on January 18, 2002.  His parents live in Lincoln.  His maternal grandparents are Denice Miner and Eugene Miner, both of Lincoln.  His paternal grandparents are Vickie (James) Schleder, Lincoln and Jerry Boyer, Middletown.  His maternal great-grandparent George Malone is from Lincoln.  Paternal great-grandparents are Winifred (Roy) Meserole, Clinton and Jack Wolf, Sr., Peoria. Maternal great-grandparents are Ruth Flynn, Meredosia and Lilly Wilcox, Pittsfield.

He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Wanda Malone and grandparents Everett and Maxine Boyer.

Visitation will be held at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, at 1 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 in Irish Grove Cemetery, Middletown.

Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude’s Foundation or Shriner’s Hospital.

Florence Schroeder

Florence A. Schroeder, 91, of Lincoln died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at the Christian Village.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Mark Carnahan officiating.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Mrs. Schroeder had worked in the office of Sears, Roebuck and Co. and at Feldman’s Gift Shop in Lincoln. She formerly taught school in Iowa.

She was born Jan. 25, 1911, in Lincoln to Monroe C. and Anna Stoline Youngblood. She married Irvin C. Schroeder on July 26, 1930, in Lincoln. He died Oct. 28, 1991.

Surviving are three sons, Lowell Schroeder of Morton, Norman (and Judy) Schroeder of Plymouth, Wis., and Marvin (and Sandra) Schroeder of Springfield; one daughter, Joanne Marlin of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Henderson of Tempe, Ariz.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln and the Ladies Aid of the church. She had been a Cub Scout leader. She also was a member of the Ladene Club in Iowa, Lucas Chapel Club, Chester Women’s Club and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church radio ministry, Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation or Lincoln Christian Village.
