Prevent child abuse

[APRIL 18, 2003]  April is "Child Abuse Awareness for Prevention Month." Logan County AmeriCorps members will assist the cause by passing out packets of abuse prevention information at a booth on the courthouse lawn. They will also be giving out certificates from local restaurants and other facilities showing their support for child abuse prevention.

A T-shirt display on the courthouse lawn will consist of 250 laminated T‑shirts attached to stakes representing the number of children abused in Logan County. Genders will be differentiated by color. A billboard will provide an overview of specific information.

The AmeriCorps presentation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, April 21-26, outside of the Logan County Courthouse.
