Josephine Laun, 81, of Lincoln died Monday (Dec. 15, 2003) at 1:40 p.m. on Macon County Highway 20 from Bearsdale Road in Hickory Point Township.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church of New Holland, with the Rev. Dr. George P. Ascher officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Burial will be in Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland.

Mrs. Laun had worked as secretary at the soil conservation office in Lincoln and at New Holland-Middletown High School.

She was born May 9, 1922, at New Holland to Walter and Mildred Bracey Osborn. She married Kermit Dale Laun on Nov. 14, 1942, in New Holland. He died in 1995.

Survivors are one son, Greg Laun of Springfield; two daughters, Jill (and Jim) Rimington of Pekin and Chris (and Steve) Hinch of New Holland; a special companion, Raymond Zurkhammer of Lincoln; one sister, Lydia "Lee" (and Ray) Lemme of Lincoln; two grandsons, Bradley (and Regina) Hinch of New Holland and Ryan (and Molly) Rimington of Plainfield; one granddaughter, Angela (and Keith) Chase of Plainfield; and four great-grandchildren, Johnathan, David and Luke Hinch, all of New Holland, and Connor Chase of Plainfield.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of New Holland and the Concordia Society of the church. She was secretary of Richmond Community Club and a member of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Leona L. Robbins, 86, of Lincoln died Saturday (Dec. 13, 2003) at 12:10 p.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre.

Her funeral was Wednesday morning at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation preceded the service.

Burial is in Old Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Robbins was a homemaker.

She was born May 27, 1917, in Lincoln to Nicholas and Minnie Marsh Schaper. She married Herbert Robbins in Lincoln on Dec. 11, 1934. He died Aug. 3, 2000.

Survivors are one son, Ronald (and Nancy) Robbins of Lincoln; one daughter, Marcia Mulcahy of Springfield; six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters and was the last of her immediate family.

Memorials may be made to Maple Ridge Care Centre, Lincoln.
