Brie Ernst achieved her first senior
Junior Olympic cut in the 50 free with a time of 30.06, which also
broke her old team record. She will compete in the Illinois Senior
Championships July 18-20 at Northwestern. Brie also had several team
records. All of the records except the 100 back time she set are
currently held by her.
Ashlyn Schleder set a team record in
the 100 free with a time of 1:13.20. She also achieved a few more A
times this weekend, in the 100, 200 and 400 free and the 200 IM.
Brennan Elsas qualified for zone
competition in another event this weekend. He had a zone time in the
100 fly with a team record time of 1:25.25. At the beginning of the
month he had a zone time in the 50 fly. He will compete at zones in
August. He also set several team records, made several JO time cuts
and placed second overall in the 9 and 10 age group.
Alberta Danley also set three team
records.
