Oasis update     Send a link to a friend

[NOV. 12, 2003]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Potluck and bingo

Join us at 11:30 a.m. Thursday for the potluck lunch with Thanksgiving turkey and trimmings. Bring a dish to pass or a $3 donation. Stay for Oasis-sponsored bingo at 1 p.m. with fun and surprise prizes.

Loom

The loom group meets this Friday from 10 a.m. until noon. If you would like to help with cutting, sewing or working the loom, please join us. We could use the help.

Tuesday lunch program

Reservation deadline is Monday noon for the Tuesday, Nov. 18, lunch. Chili with rice, salad, bread and butter is only $3.50.

Monthly birthday party

Celebrate your November birthday with us on Monday, Nov. 17, at 1:30 p.m. Games, entertainment, prizes, cake and ice cream are waiting for you to enjoy.

Game winners

Weekend pinochle and 5 in 1 winners were Len Krapp, Marjorie Reiners and Ann Greger respectively. Tom Garrison won rummy. Weekday pinochle winners were Linda Hughes and Christine March.
