Lincoln Gators setting records     Send a link to a friend

[OCT. 21, 2003]  The Lincoln Gators attended the Pumpkin Pentathlon in Bloomington this weekend. A number of swimmers distinguished themselves with qualifying times, and some even broke team records.

In the 10 and under girls age group:

--Alberta Danley had three A times and one team record. Her A times were in the 50 free (31.64, team record), 50 breast and the 50 back.

In the 10 and under boys division:

--Brennan Elsas had Junior Olympic times in all five of his events and a team record in the 50 free with a time of 29.19.

For the 11 and 12 girls:

--Emily Hauter achieved an A time in the 200 back with a team record time of 2:59.98.

--Ashlyn Schleder set four team records, with two of them earning her A times. Her times were 2:25.74 in the 200 free, 3:18.19 in the 200 fly, 3:18.44 in the 200 breast and 6:12.15 in the 400 IM.

Lincoln Gator Swim Club coach Heidi Heidbreder said that there were difficulties with the recording equipment. The rest of the team results will be available at a later time.
