Lincoln College jumped in front with a goal from Samantha Marcus in
the 11th minute of the first half and maintained the lead until the
final minute of the half, when Amanda Reed tied the score. In the
50th minute of play, Elise Sommerfeld scored an unassisted goal to
put the Lynx back on top, only to have Amber Walkenbach head in a
shot from Kristi Hilan with three minutes to play.
Lincoln
College advances to the second round and will play Lewis and Clark
at 2 p.m. Thursday in Godfrey.
