[OCT. 30, 2003]  NORMAL -- First-year head coach Porter Moser is interested to see how his Illinois State basketball team will react to gamelike situations as the Redbirds take the court Thursday night for the annual Red-White Scrimmage at Redbird Arena.

The game will tip off at 7 p.m. and will be played with actual game officials.

"I’m looking forward to seeing how the guys react under game conditions," Moser said. "The popcorn will be popping, there will be fans in the seats and officials on the floor, it will look and feel just like a game. I want to be able to gauge their level of focus, concentration and execution."

Senior Vince Greene will lead the White team, comprised of Neil Plank, Marcus Arnold, Trey Guidry, Chris Burras, Kenneth Hill, Michael Sams and recent walk-on Micah Kirstein.

Gregg Alexander of Lincoln will set the pace for the Red team along with teammates Matt Miller, Kevin Troc, Najeeb Echols, Greg Dilligard, Dana Ford, Ronnie Carlwell and Kyle Flowers.

The game is free to the public.
