LC defeats Carl Sandburg in four games     Send a link to a friend

[OCT. 24, 2003]  Lincoln College handed Carl Sandburg a defeat in volleyball action at Lincoln Thursday night, winning the first two games by scores of 30-23 and 30-28 before losing the third game 30-24. Lincoln College then dominated the fourth game 30-15 to win the match.

Christy Raymer led the Lynx with 12 points and 24 set assists, while Kristin Majka had 13 kills and eight points. Jessica Livezey contributed with four points and eight kills, while Samantha McCoy added five digs and three points.

"We played an all-around solid match against a pretty good team," said Lincoln coach Mark Tippett. "We were able to get our serves in much better tonight, and that makes the game flow much better. We made some good defensive plays and hit the ball very well."

Lincoln College closes out the season Monday at 6 p.m. against Lewis and Clark, and it will be sophomore night.
