LINCOLN -- Mary Elizabeth
Noecker-Clark, 94, formerly of Berryville, Ark., and
Lovington, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, at 6 a.m. at Maple
Ridge Care Centre.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4
p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln.
A graveside service at Hewitt
Cemetery, Lovington, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev.
Victor Ramsey II will officiate.
Mrs. Noecker-Clark had been a
cashier-bookkeeper at the Lovington office of Central Illinois
Public Service Company. She also taught one year at "Crackerneck"
School near Lovington and eight years in the English
department at Lovington Junior High School
She was born July 22, 1910, in
Decatur to Paul D. and Mary Ethel Dudley Cooper. She married
Clark E. Noecker in 1941. He died in 1963. She married Horace
Clark in 1969 and he died in 1974.
She is survived by two
nephews, Bob Cooper and Ray Cooper, both of Lincoln, and
several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was the last of her
immediate family and was preceded in death by one brother,
Dudley P. Cooper.
She was a member of the United
Methodist Church of Berryville, Ark.; 19th District Past
Presidents Club, Illinois Federation of Women's Clubs;
honorary lifetime member of the Lovington Women's Club; vice
president and director of the Central Region, Illinois
Federation of Women's Clubs; and vice president, Decatur
District, Women's Society of Christian Service, United
Methodist Church. For many years, she was active in county
home extension work in Illinois and Arkansas. She held
membership in NRTA-AARP and was a member of the historical and
genealogical societies of Carroll County, Ark., and Piatt
County and Moultrie County in Illinois. Registered in RSVP,
she served on the advisory council of Carroll, Madison and
Benton counties. From 1980 to 1984 she served on the consumer
board of Phillips Food Centers of Arkansas. She was one of the
organizers of the Northwest Cattlemen's Association.
After retiring from beef
cattle and grain operations in Arkansas and Missouri, she
traveled extensively and gave lectures on her travels to Egypt
and China. She played honky-tonk piano for schools, nursing
homes and organizations. At Maple Ridge she also entertained
the other residents with the piano playing she loved.
She attended Illinois State
University in Normal and the Indiana State Teacher's College
in Terre Haute, Ind.

LINCOLN -- Elbert A. "Mick"
Davis Jr., 68, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at 7:20
a.m. at his home.
A graveside service will be
at 1:30 p.m. Friday at New Union Cemetery. The Rev. R. Anthony
Lee will officiate and military rites will be conducted.
There is no visitation.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mr. Davis was a supervisor at
Lincoln Developmental Center before he retired.
He served in the U.S. Marine
Corps.
He was born July 18, 1936, in
Lincoln to Elbert A. and Evelyn C. "Sally" Stone Davis. He
married Juanita F. Davis on June 19, 1960, at Grand Junction,
Colo. She died Feb. 17, 2005.
He is survived by one brother,
Jim (and Shirley) Davis of Lincoln, and one sister, Betty (and
Tom) Larson of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by
his parents; one sister, Joann Gable; and one nephew, Troy
Larson.

American Diabetes Association.

LINCOLN -- Louis Hasenmyer,
90, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at 5:35 a.m. at
Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
His funeral will be at 10:30
a.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln, with the Rev. Kurt Walker officiating. Visitation
will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Union
Cemetery.
Mr. Hasenmyer farmed in Aetna
Township before he retired.
He was born Jan. 26, 1915, at
Lincoln to George and Anna Howland Hasenmyer. He married
(Anna) Ruth Howland on April 18, 1939, at Bowling Green, Mo.
She died Oct. 3, 1991.
He is survived by two
sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hasenmyer of Springfield and Helen
Hasenmyer of Lincoln; one niece, Linda (and Kevin) Kennedy of
Beltsville, Md.; and one nephew, Carl (and Maristela)
Hasenmyer of Evans, Ga.
He was the last of his
immediate family and was preceded in death by two brothers.
He was a member of the First
United Methodist Church of Lincoln and the Logan County Farm
Bureau.

LINCOLN -- Sonya Alice Twist,
16, of Lincoln, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at 3:37 a.m. at
St. John's Hospital in Springfield following an automobile
crash Saturday night.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7
p.m. Monday, April 11, at Lincoln Christian Church.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday, April 12, at the church, with Tracy Thomas
officiating.
A graveside service at Union
Cemetery, Washington, Ill., will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday,
April 12.

Funeral Home in Lincoln handled arrangements.
Sonya was a sophomore at
Lincoln Community High School.
She was born Dec. 21, 1988, in
Manila, Philippine Islands, to Matthew and (Bae) Sun Il Twist.
She is survived by her father,
of Lincoln; her mother, of Lincoln; her maternal grandmother,
Sun Jun Kim of Korea; her paternal grandmother, Violet Krause
of Lincoln; four uncles and one aunt in Korea; two uncles in
the U.S., Bob (and Donna) Twist of Elkhart and Milo (and
Sherry) Twist of Washington, Ill.; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by
her maternal grandfather.
Her high school activities
included jazz band, marching band, concert band, pep band,
chorus, madrigals, IME district band, Bradley University honor
band for freshman and sophomores, musical, Fine Arts Club,
French Club, Thespians, winter play "The Boys Next Door,"
group interpretation and performance in the round with the
speech team, Halloween Spectacular, tennis, soccer, and track.
She was in the first division
in French horn and piano at solo-ensemble contest and placed
first in vocal solo. She also auditioned for the Chicago
Symphony.
She was a member of Lincoln
Christian Church, where she participated in the youth group,
Good News Publishing Company, drama ministry team, inner-city
mission team, Dominican mission team and T.R.A.S.H.
