After suffering a
tough eight-inning loss in the opener, Lincoln College rebounded to
win the nightcap 8-2 against Lindenwood in Lincoln on Monday
afternoon. Lindenwood won the first game 7-6 in the eighth inning.
In its next action, Lincoln College (12-13) will host Springfield
College on Thursday.

Dustin Duffie banged out three hits,
including two doubles, scored two runs and drove in two runs to lead
the Lincoln attack in the second game. Tyler Casson had a pair of
hits for the Lynx, with one run scored and one RBI. Collecting one
hit each were Jason Williams, with a double and run scored; Alex
Brown, with a double, one RBI and a run scored; and Nick Meredith,
with a single and one run scored.
Kyle Bruce picked up the victory
with five innings, seven hits, one run and two strikeouts. Rich
Ennis hurled the final two innings, allowing a pair of hits and one
run with a pair of walks.
Lincoln College was limited to four
hits in the opening game but managed to make a comeback and tie the
score with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, only to
lose when Lindenwood scored a run in the top of the eighth.
Ryan Driskill suffered the loss for
the Lynx with two innings, two hits, one run and two strikeouts. Max
McCovie started for the Lynx and went five innings with six hits
allowed, five runs, one walk and four strikeouts. Ennis pitched one
inning, allowing a hit and a run.
Casson, Adam York, Brad Hall and
Anthony Eagan had the Lincoln College hits. York had an RBI and
scored a run, while Hall had a pair of RBIs. Casson scored two runs,
and Eagan scored a run and banged out a double.
