HARTSBURG -- Gordon R. Suedmeier, 69, of Hartsburg, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, at 1:25 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, with the Rev. David Hofer officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Burial will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery.

Mr. Suedmeier was a sales representative for MasterGuard Fire Safety Corp. and an independent truck driver.

He was born Jan. 1, 1936, at Chestnut to Herbert and Florence McDonald Suedmeier. He married Mariann Hieronymus on Aug. 16, 1958, at Hartsburg. She survives.

Other survivors are one son, Daniel W. (and Brenda) Hieronymus of San Jose, and three grandchildren, Chris, Amber and Adam Hieronymus.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and an avid Cardinal fan.

LINCOLN -- Cleada Augusta Stoltzenburg, 87, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, at 3:30 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with Pastor Blair Kasfeldt officiating.

Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery.

Miss Stoltzenburg was a seamstress at Lincoln Garment Factory for 47 years. She retired March 1, 1983.

She was born Aug. 21, 1917, in Lincoln to William and Sophia Lohrenz Stoltzenburg.

She is survived by one sister, Hilma Theobald of Lincoln; two nephews; one niece; and a number of great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, three sisters and two nieces preceded her in death.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and International Ladies Garment Workers Local 382, where she served as secretary-treasurer for 20 years.

Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

MASON CITY -- Roberta Anne "Bobby Anne" Bergman, 67, of Mason City, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at 8:37 p.m. at St. John's Hospital North in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Mason City, with the Rev. Dennis Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery.

Mrs. Bergman retired in 2000 after working as a teller at the Mason City National Bank for over 20 years.

She was born Jan. 29, 1938, in Mason City to Robert O. and Frances Cave Ellmore. She married James Bergman in February 1957.

She is survived by her husband, of Mason City; her father, of Mason City; three sons, Greg (and Sue) Bergman of London, United Kingdom, Gary R. (and Deborah) Bergman of Charlotte, N.C., and Todd A. (and Terry) Bergman of St. Louis; two granddaughters; and four grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mason City.

She was an avid quilter.

Albro McCubbin

LINCOLN -- Albro Woodworth McCubbin, 93, formerly of Glasco, Ky., died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at 8:17 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Craig Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Beason.

Mr. McCubbin farmed in East Lincoln Township before he retired.

He was born March 1, 1912, at Newt, Ky., to Ovie and Vera Neggles McCubbin. He married Viola Bush on Jan. 1, 1934, in Kentucky. She died Feb. 10, 1979. He married Earlene Atwell in October 1979 in Kentucky. She died in November 2003.

He is survived by one son, Don "Chub" (and Barbara) McCubbin of Lincoln; one daughter, Ola Lavera Perce of Sacramento, Calif.; one stepson, Nelson (and Korin) Amos of Ypsilanti, Mich.; two grandchildren and one stepgrandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one brother and one stepbrother.

He was a member of Trammel Creek Baptist Church in Pierce, Ky., where he served as deacon for many years.

Memorials may be made to Trammel Creek Baptist Church in Pierce, Ky., or to Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln.

LINCOLN -- James V. Britsch, 66, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at 2:20 p.m. in the emergency room at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with Pastor Mark Carnahan officiating.

Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery.

Mr. Britsch was retired from Lincoln Developmental Center and was self-employed with Britsch Towing and Britsch Mobile Home Park.

He was born Jan. 25, 1939, in Lincoln to Lester and Virginia Moore Britsch.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathleen A. (and Michael) Martinie of Lincoln; two sons, James M. (and Julia) Britsch of Raleigh, N.C., and Trace L. (and Veronica P.) Britsch of Union, Ky.; six grandchildren; and one sister, Bonnie Ipsen of Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the church or to the American Diabetes Association.

LINCOLN -- Eleanor Anne Smith, 77, of Starkville, Miss., died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, Miss.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 25, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker for her family.

She was born Dec. 21, 1927, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to John Quincy and Dora Ashby Adams. She married Dean Dwane Smith on July 27, 1952, in Scottsbluff, Neb. He died Nov. 30, 1994.

She is survived by two daughters, Alice Elaine (and Charles "Bo") Morris of Lincoln, Ill., and Judith Diane (and Keith) Bean of Denton, Texas; three sons, David Dean (and Paula) Smith of Lincoln, Ill., Paul Mark Smith (and Barbara Blaylock) of Acworth, Ga., and Daniel John Smith of Starkville, Miss.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Joan (and Don) Lindhorst of Gering, Neb., Lois (and Cecil) Hinman of Lincoln, Neb., Kay (and Gary) Dobbins of Woodlands, Texas, and Ilene (and Richard) McNatt of Marietta, Ga.; and two brothers, Ashby Adams of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Foster Adams of Cocona, Calif.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Janet Adams; and one granddaughter, Christy Morris.

She was a member of Aberdeen Christian Church in Aberdeen, Miss.

She graduated from Minnesota Bible College and Butler School of Religion in Indianapolis, Ind.

Memorials may be made to MidSouth Christian College in Memphis, Tenn.

LINCOLN -- Teddy Lewis Sapp, 78, of Lincoln, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 9:15 a.m. at his home.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at New Union Cemetery, with the Rev. R. Anthony Lee officiating. 

There will be no visitation.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home of Lincoln handled arrangements. 

Mr. Sapp was a technician at Lincoln Developmental Center.

He was born Jan. 28, 1927, in Lincoln to John and Mamie Elizabeth Cassell Sapp Sr.

He is survived by a foster grandson, Richard Bowice of Lincoln, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 12 brothers and sisters.

He was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln
