This is the opening day of the 71st Logan County Fair, with the official ribbon-cut being done by David and Marilyn Armbrust. Dave and Marilyn have been working together at the fair for 40 years, and this is their last fair. Dave began working at the fair 10 years before Marilyn, back in 1957, parking cars and working for a snow cone vendor. This has been their family vacation throughout the years. Their daughter, Sara, even helped along the way. When you ask them about their years at the fair, both of them grin from ear to ear and ask: Where do you want us to begin?  They have a great time and have a million stories, along with countless friends they have made along the way. Stop by the ticket booth underneath the grandstand and give them a hearty handshake for all their wonderful years of service to the Logan County Fair.  [picture by Karen Hargis] click on picture for larger image
