Shirley Bartelmay points out the various herbs and flowers in Mary Lincoln's Garden to the “Looking for Your Lincoln Hero” contest winners and their families. The contest was sponsored by the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area and the My Hero Project to celebrate the life of Abraham Lincoln during his bicentennial year. The visitors were from Illinois, Georgia, Minnesota and Nigeria.
