[December 16, 2009]  The most effective way for you to protect yourself and your family this flu season is to receive an H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine. The Logan County Department of Public Health is currently offering the H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines to anyone who wants to protect themselves from the influenza virus this flu season.

HardwareThe H1N1 vaccine is free. The seasonal flu vaccine is $30, or free to those with a medical card or Medicare.

Walk-in clinic hours are scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. The H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines will also be available on the HOPE Mobile during its regularly scheduled stops.

The Logan County Department of Public Health would like to thank you for your patience and understanding through the last couple of months when the H1N1 vaccine was not available to the general public.

For more information, visit www.flu.gov and www.lcdph.org or call the Logan County Department of Public Health at 217-735-2317.
