Although
the Logan County Fair doesn’t officially start until Tuesday,
for area 4-H youth a lot of things are already going on.
On July 16, LDN reported on the Logan County 4-H Food
and Nutrition, Home and
Family Show results, and this weekend the dog show took
place on Saturday morning.
As the competition came to an end, the youngsters enjoyed a
visit from Miss Logan County Fair Bethany Rea, who
congratulated them all on their ribbons and awards and stood for
a group photo with the six young competitors.

1971 artist's sketch released by the FBI shows the skyjacker known as Dan
Cooper and D.B. Cooper. The sketch was made from recollections of passengers and
crew of a Northwest Orient Airlines jet he hijacked between Portland and
Seattle on Nov. 24, 1971, Thanksgiving eve. FBI spokeswoman Ayn Sandalo Dietrich
tells The Seattle Times that a law enforcement member directed investigators to
a person who might have helpful information on Cooper.

Costume designer Kevin Anderson points out the feathered
tailpieces made for blackbirds in a theatrical production of "The Wizard of
Oz." The tailpieces, hanging high on the wall of the costume shop, are a
part of the garage sale Anderson conducted through Saturday afternoon. He has taken a post at Texas Tech and is closing the costume shop in
Lincoln.

practices his drawing technique before a performance in his Bushwick
studio in the Brooklyn borough of New York. Bushwick's sordid
history as a gang territory is becoming overshadowed by the influx
of artists flocking to the area in search of affordability and
space.
