Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: Response to
letter posted Oct. 14 from Darla Franklin:
I am a patient of Dr. Kottemann and agree with Darla Franklin.
Dr. Kotteman is a kind, caring and knowledgeable doctor who was
probably born 50 years too late. He seems to be far more interested
in patient care than the bottom line. You can't give the best care
with a stopwatch, and it doesn't come from typing on a computer.
I know there are other great doctors at Family Medical who spend
too much time with their patient who aren't on administrative leave.
I say, stop picking on Dr. Kottemann and let him get back to what he
loves and does the best -- taking care of his patients.
