Tuesday evening a newly formed committee launched its first fundraiser at Culver's restaurant. The committee will be the driving force behind a new Abraham Lincoln statue to go on the Logan County Courthouse lawn. At Culver's, the group dressed in Lincoln-era costumes and served up pieces of the locally famous Mary Todd Lincoln cake. In addition the group received a percentage of all the food orders placed that evening.

Pictured, left to right, are committee members Wanda Lee Rohlfs, Paul Gleason, Roger Matson, JoAnne Marlin, cake baker Mary Ellen Martin, Bill Donath and Chuck Conzo. Richard Martin and John Sutton are also members of the committee. They were on hand but being kept very busy serving guests.
