New Holland-Middletown Elementary District 88 faculty and staff recently attended their annual “back-to-school” teachers’ institute, where professional development was delivered via Google Classroom, an upcoming initiative launched by the Internet giant.  While not yet available for use, NH-M #88 was selected to pilot this innovative learning module due to its leadership in the area of instructional technology.

Pictured above are newly released maps of the downtown area and the Logan County Airport as they pertain to this year's Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival. In the downtown area especially there are several changes to the flow of festival activities. Most noteworthy of these is a change in location for the Art of Wine & Brew on Friday and Saturday and the change of location for the Railsplitter Antique Auto Club Car Show on Saturday. The maps will be posted in the LDN special section for the festival starting Monday.

NORMAL - Joann Goetzinger: Sculptural Drawings will be on display August 18 through October 10 in the Joe McCauley Gallery, located in Room 2507 of the Instructional Commons Building (ICB) on Heartland’s Normal campus, 1500 W. Raab Road. An artist talk will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 9 in ICB 2805 with a reception to follow from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the gallery.
