It's
going to be another busy weekend in Logan County as
several events will be taking place today. After a
long day of running about, it might be good to end
the evening relaxing under the stars at the Logan
County Fairground. The Abraham Lincoln National
Railsplitting Festival kicked off the events at the
fairground this morning. Tonight they are ending
their day with a live concert by Emi Sunshine. The
cost of the concert is included in the gate
admission, so go early, do some shopping, check out
the Pioneer Village then attend the concert. Bring
your lawn chairs as seating will be limited.

Lincoln Community High School
Superintendent Robert Bagby (far right) was on hand Friday
at Integrity Data to meet with local entrepreneurs who may
be interested in being a part of the new Land of Lincoln CEO
program. The free luncheon was an opportunity for local
business men and women to learn more about the program and
how they could be involved through volunteering classroom
space, or being a guest speaker for the program. The program
has begun for this school year. The class of 15 students
represent Lincoln Community, Mount Pulaski, Hartsburg-Emden,
Illini-Central and Olympia High Schools. |
