Emily Bucy

Abby Coers

At the 2018 Boston Marathon, serendipity - a happy coincidence that may partially describe the experience for two Logan County natives, Abby Coers and Emily Bucy. Both showed up to run, unbeknownst to the other until after the race. The two are both graduates of Mount Pulaski High School and the University of Illinois. They both have made careers for themselves in the agricultural industry, and obviously, they both love to run. This was Bucy's first Boston experience and Coers’ third.
