The pink shirt pictures for today are featuring Central Illinois Ag shop staff on the left and office staff on the right. Also included today is Timbercrest Veterinary Services with Atlanta staff on the left and Lincoln staff on the right. Finally, we have the city of Lincoln aldermen and department heads in the third-row left-hand picture, and the Lincoln City Clerk and staff on the right. In each of the three rows, the left-hand image goes along the one on the right.

Now is an excellent time to remember that typically, a lady should come pretty close to matching on both sides of her body. If one breast begins to look different, or changes in size, this could be a warning sign that something is going on. It isn't vain to check out how you look from time to time. It could be a life saver.

At the Tuesday evening meeting of the Lincoln City Council, Rachel Marten and her daughter Karina (left photo), Mandee Dexter and her daughter Faith along with Alex Williams and her son Harry (left to right in right side photo) appeared before the council to speak about Down Syndrome Awareness Month. October is the awareness month for people born with the extra chromosome that manifests into Down Syndrome. Williams and Dexter spoke about the social misconceptions of people with Down. They said their children should have the same opportunities for happiness, success, and social acceptance as all other children. Williams noted, "Our society has an altered perception of beauty." She and the other mothers were there to request that the city pass a resolution declaring October as Down Syndrome Awareness Month in Lincoln.
