Tonight will be the Christmas Cruise in Lincoln. The backward parade is free to all and there will be plenty to enjoy on the cruise.

The Logan County Tourism Bureau decided to do a backward parade where the floats and other entries stay in one place and viewers drive past. This helps to control crowds and make it a safer for this holiday season.

To be part of the cruise, motorists should go first to the Lincoln Community High School Parking Lot. Drivers should enter the parking lot from Miller Street (see map) off Pulaski Street in Lincoln.

Drivers will then proceed on Wyatt Avenue to South Kickapoo Street. They will drive from south to north on Kickapoo to Pekin Street viewing entries. Drivers may then turn left on Pekin and proceed to the LCTB Depot Visitors Center, where Santa and Mrs. Clause will be waiting outside to greet children.

No one should exit the vehicle at any time during the cruise. Rumor has it there will be candy handed out. Those bearing sweet treats will come to the car and drop candy in children's bags, so be sure to have a bag on hand when you get there.

Today's Winter Wonderland Tour takes us down McLean Street on the Logan County Courthouse Square in Lincoln. The trees on this street are decorated with some interesting and fun themes.

Be sure to check out the slide show and take a walk one day to see all the trees in person.
