Late and abbreviated 2020-21 spring basketball season still proves to be remarkable

Railer Basketball

As high school sports resumed in early February the Railer Basketball Team wasted no time in making a notable impression in the Apollo Conference. In addition, the tail end of the 2020-21 school year with its abbreviated game play season still left plenty of time for LCHS players to hit some excellent milestones.

Lady Railer basketball

Like their male counterparts, the Lady Railers hit the ground running when sports resumed in February of 2021. While the team lost their season opener, they came back with a vengeance for the rest of the season.
Kloe Froebe gained a reputation of leading the Railer ladies in scoring in consecutive games and broke an old school record for Freshman performance.

Mount Pulaski High School enjoyed the return of sports in February with a notable end of the school year season.

The Mount Pulaski Hilltoppers Baseball Team stormed the competition throughout their season, winning Regional, and their Super-sectional. The team made history as the first team in school history to make the trip to State competition.

Track & Field

The end of the 2020-21 school year saw two Lady Railer track stars standout with a record-breaking start for Becca Heitzig and a trip to State for Heitzig and Reese McCuan. Brenden Heitzig, Garrett Slack, Drake Rutledge, Jayson Butler, Jalen Franz, and Aidan Gowin also made the trip to State representing the LCHS Boys Track Team.
