Rattled
robber retreats
Send a link to a friend
[AUG.
8, 2003]
A pharmacy
clerk shocked a would-be robber yesterday afternoon.
|
The man came into the First Care
Pharmacy at Fifth and Jefferson in downtown Springfield. He strolled
around the store a bit and picked up a candy bar and a can of soda
pop. He then went to the checkout counter at the front of the store
and paid for them. Then he told the clerk he had a gun in his pocket
and wanted money.
|
The clerk just began screaming, loudly.
So loud that pharmacists at the back of the store were alarmed.
The robber
apparently was so unnerved he left the store, leaving behind his
candy and pop. The store made 200 percent profit off him.
