[JULY 7, 2003]  Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce events for the week of July 7-11:

Monday, July 7

7 p.m. -- CIOP meeting, Lincoln College student union. The chamber’s ag committee and local producers meet to address the growing concern of absentee landowners and the impact this has on the local economy. 

Tuesday, July 8

8 a.m. -- Lincoln Sesquicentennial's Business and Industry Day meeting, Cookie's Bakery. Becky Werth of Werth Realty is chairing this committee to put the spotlight on local businesses as Lincoln celebrates its 150th anniversary. B and I Day will take place Aug. 26 and includes retail promotions, small-business expo, industry tours, business trivia quiz and a souvenir “business tour” passport. All members are welcome to attend this planning and brainstorming meeting!

Thursday, July 10

7:30 a.m. – Government-education committee meeting at Cookie's Bakery.

Noon -- Chamber board of director's meeting chamber office.

Friday, July 11

5-7 p.m. – Chamber mixer at Whit's Lawn Center, 325 S. Chicago St. Ribbon cut at 5 p.m. Please plan to stop by and celebrate the grand opening of this new business and the relocation of Daron's Lawn Service and Good Ole Pest Control. Hosts: Daron, Toni and Garry Whittaker
