CINCINNATI,
Ohio -- The Lincoln Christian men's basketball team defeated the
Northland Baptist Pioneers today, 61-50. The team jumped ou to a
22-4 lead in the first ten minutes and maintained a 22 point lead at
the half. In the second half, the every player on the roster saw
floor time for the Preachers. "We really came out with great
intensity in that first quarter. It was good to come out with a
second win," commented Coach Searby.

Tim Schultz led the team in scoring and rebounding with 23 and 13,
respectively. Brian Dunaway chipped in 13 points and five boards.
The two connected with the play of the game. Schultz led a break off
of a steal and assisted Dunaway with an alley-oop which Dunaway
finished with a reverse dunk.
Lincoln plays Northland later in the season, but Northland will have
five more players that did not make the current trip. "They will be
a different team the next time we play them. We will have to prepare
for it like it is the first time we have played them," remarked
Coach Searby.
The Preachers move to 2-0 on the season and will play next on
Saturday, Nov. 8th at 6:00 versus Johnson Bible College at the
Cincinnati Bible College Classic.
