The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Alzheimer
support group
Join the special support group if you
are caring for a person suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or if you
would like to know more about the early warning signs. The group
meets at 1 p.m. Thursday.
Bingo
Join us at 1 p.m. Thursday for the
bingo games sponsored by the Extension service. There will be
nutritious prizes and a lot of fun.
Glaucoma
screening
Call 732-6132 to make an appointment
for a free glaucoma screening Friday between 9 a.m. and noon. This
will be the last time the service is offered in 2003.

afternoon events
Join the Memories writing group at 3:45
p.m. Friday to learn to enhance your writing skills to preserve
those special family memories.
Pick up your SHARE food orders between
4 and 5:30 p.m. and place your December orders.
Tuesday
lunch program
The lunch service for Tuesday, Nov. 25,
has been canceled. Make your reservation by noon Dec. 1 for the
Tuesday, Dec. 2, lunch of fried chicken, broccoli, salad, bread and
butter.

Rx program
A few appointments are still available
for a special free service to review your prescriptions,
over-the-counter medications and herbal supplements for drug
interactions. Call 732-6132 for an appointment for Tuesday, Nov. 25.
Think
tank
Join the group at 9 a.m. Wednesday,
Nov. 26, for the presentation by Dr. Adubato: "Chiropractic Care for
Seniors." No reservation necessary.
Game
winners
Christine March was the lucky pinochle
winner for both weekday games. The weekend pinochle winners were
Pauline Boward and Linda Hughes. Ann Greger and Len Krapp won rummy.
