MOUNT PULASKI -- Doris Belle
Duncan, 93, of Mount Pulaski, died Thursday, April 14, 2005,
at 10:30 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski, with Steve Ingram officiating. Visitation will be one
hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Steenbergen
Cemetery.
Mrs. Duncan was a homemaker.
She was born Feb. 7, 1912, at
Elkhart to William and Alta McMann Fuiten. She married J.C.
Duncan in Logan County on Feb. 14, 1937. He preceded her in
death.
She is survived by one
daughter, Beverly (and Gene) Harrison of Forsyth; two
grandchildren, Scott (and Laura) Harrison of Decatur and Susan
(and Chris) Zeras of Maitland, Fla.; two great-grandchildren,
Lindsey Harrison and Lillie Zeras; one brother, Charles Fuiten
of Buffalo; and three sisters, Mabel Manley, Ethel McCain and
Wilma Dickerson, all of Mount Pulaski.
She was also preceded in death
by one sister, Dorothy Peterson, and an infant son, James
Clarence.
She was a member of Northwest
Christian Church of Decatur.
Memorials may be designated
for the Northwest Christian Church property.

LATHAM -- William J.
Miller, 79, of Latham died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at 3:37
p.m. at Lincoln Manor in Decatur.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5
p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski, followed by a rosary service at 5 p.m.
His funeral will be at 10:30
a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mount
Pulaski, with Father Thomas Shaw officiating.
Burial, with military rites,
will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Mr. Miller was a teacher,
coach and principal at Warrensburg-Latham Middle School for 23
years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of
World War II.
He was born Sept. 8, 1925, in
Lincoln to William D. and Mabel A. Romer Miller. He married
Carolyn Bradshaw in Decatur on June 10, 1950.
He is survived by his wife, of
Latham; two sons, Mark (and Kathy) Miller of Chestnut and
Chris (and Jane) Miller of Minneapolis, Minn.; one daughter,
Marianne Mascio of Woodridge; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
his parents.
He was a member of St. Thomas
Aquinas Catholic Church and American Legion Post 447.
Memorials may be given to the
church or to Latham Rescue Squad.

ATLANTA -- Linda J. Peasley,
62, a lifelong resident of Atlanta, died Tuesday, April 12,
2005, at 10:30 p.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Monday at the Eminence Christian Church, rural Atlanta, with
Andy Glass officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:30
until 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Peasley Funeral Home, 401 Delavan
St. in Lincoln, and at the church on Monday one hour prior to
the service.
Burial will be in Roaches
Chapel Cemetery, rural McLean.
Mrs. Peasley worked in the
11th Judicial Circuit of the state of Illinois for 35 years,
first as a legal secretary and then as a court stenographer in
McLean and Logan counties, before retiring on Dec. 31, 2002.
She was born Sept. 24, 1942,
at St. Clara's Hospital in Lincoln, to Donald E. and Margie D.
Nevius Leesman. She married James P. Peasley on June 17, 1962,
at the Atlanta Christian Church.
She is survived by two
daughters, Shellie L. (and David) Reed of Albuquerque, N.M.,
and Krystal A. Peasley of Atlanta; one son, Donald P. Peasley
of Lincoln; two granddaughters, Sarah N. Reed and Jayme L.
Reed, and one grandson, Joshua D. Reed, all of Albuquerque,
N.M.; one brother, Rodney D. (and Sharon) Leesman of McLean;
two uncles, LaRue Nevius of Shirley and Floyd Nevius of
Lincoln; "adopted" family member Dorothy Hood of Normal; and
several nieces and nephews.
Her husband and parents
preceded her in death.
At the time of her death, she
was a member of Eminence Christian Church, Atlanta A-Team,
several bridge clubs and was Queen Mother of the Simply
Tasteful Red Hats. She also belonged to the McLean Merry
Mixers Square Dance Club for many years and was a former
member of the McLean County Legal Secretaries Association.
She served as the choir
director at Eminence Christian Church and formerly at the
Atlanta Christian Church. She also directed the Atlanta
Community Choir and was a member of the Atlanta Community
Band. In 2003, she directed a historical play for the Atlanta
Sesquicentennial celebration.
She graduated from Atlanta
High School in 1960.
She will be greatly missed by
her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family
requests that memorials be made to the building fund of
Eminence Christian Church or to the Abraham Lincoln Healthcare
Foundation at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
