SPRINGFIELD
-- Proposals for individual papers or panel discussions are being
sought for the seventh annual Conference on Illinois History,
scheduled for Oct. 27-28 at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in
Springfield. |
The papers or panels may cover any
aspect of Illinois history, culture, politics, geography, literature
or archaeology. The Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, sponsor
of the conference, welcomes submissions from professional and
avocational historians, graduate students and those engaged in the
study of Illinois history at libraries, historic sites, museums and
historical societies. Each
proposal should include a summary of the topic and a one-page resume
of the participant. The summary should specify the major primary and
secondary sources used in the research. Proposals should be for
formal papers with footnotes. More information is available at
