LEWISTOWN -- The Hickory Ridge Concert Series at
the Dickson Mounds Museum presents Milwaukee folksinger and raconteur Lil Rev on
March 19 at 7:30 p.m. Rev is an award-winning master of the harmonica and the
ukulele and a witty, engaging performer who is rapidly gaining national
attention for entertaining and informative performances.

Lil Rev's shows are fast-paced and fun,
covering a wide range of styles, from Stephen Foster songs to Delta
Holler Blues to the music of Tin Pan Alley.
He was Hohner's 1996 National Blues
Harmonica Champion and was inducted into The Traditional Old-Time
Country Music Hall of Fame in 2003. He has been described as "an
immensely talented and entertaining performer (whose) concise,
eloquent and witty introductions add to the fun … (who) knows music,
instruments, history, cultures and most of all, how to engage and
captivate an audience."
The Hickory Ridge Coffeehouse is
hosted by singer-songwriter Chris Vallillo and features a short open
mic session before the first set. Coffeehouses are scheduled the
third Saturday of every month at Dickson Mounds Museum and begin at
7:30 p.m., with the museum lobby opening at 6:30 p.m. Coffee,
drinks, and a variety of desserts are available during intermission.
There is an admission charge of $5 per adult, $3 for children under
12. Seating is limited to the first 150 people.

The Dickson Mounds Branch of the
Illinois State Museum is located between Lewistown and Havana off
routes 78 and 97. The museum is open free to the public from 8:30
a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. Tours and special programs are available
for groups with reservations.
