[October 26, 2006] Lincoln --  A fish fry lunch and silent auction benefit is being planned for two-year old April Tippett who is fighting cancer. April is the daughter of Lincoln College Head Volleyball coach Mark Tippett of Lincoln. The fish fry will be at the Lincoln College Maintenance building at the end of Hennepin Street on Saturday, October 28 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 12 and under.

Kathy Steffens, Director of Human Resources and Chairperson for the benefit says she hopes everyone will come and support April. “When Mark told us about April, we all wanted to do something to help them. Maintenance has done this before and we thought we could enhance the event with adding auction items donated by different departments within the college.” Steffens says a bake sale and a 50/50 drawing will also be held at the event. For more information contact Kathy Steffens at 732-3155 ext. 228.
