[December 04, 2009]  Lincoln Christian University presents Christmas in the Chapel

Lincoln Christian University is presenting "Forever in Evergreen," the 2009 Christmas in the Chapel production. Experience the majesty and splendor of Christmas as hundreds of singers and actors from the LCU campus family join to proclaim the greatest story ever told. Beautiful music, creative lighting and multimedia presentations combine to effectively enhance these memorable performances. Bring your family and friends to what has become a seasonal tradition… Christmas in the Chapel.

If you have questions or need ticket information, contact LCU at 217-220-2253. Performances are scheduled through Sunday, Dec. 6. LCU thanks you for celebrating this seasonal tradition for over 20 years.

The Harvest of Talents for World Hunger Christmas cookie walk is Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. in the Lincoln Christian Church Family Room. Cookies will be arranged on decorative plates for gift-giving.


Elkhart's Christmas in the Village is Saturday, Dec. 5. There is so much to do as a family in Elkhart this weekend, including the Elkhart Main Street fundraiser breakfast at Hudson's Talk of The Town. The sausage, gravy and biscuit breakfast is from 8 to 10 a.m. All proceeds will go to Elkhart Main Street. Come by to eat and check out all of the other festivities during Christmas in Elkhart. Scot Schaeffer, Luther College vice president for enrollment management, has announced that Nicholas Haferkamp of Lincoln has been accepted for admission for the 2010-11 academic year to Luther College. Haferkamp received a Presidential Scholarship.

Luther is a selective four-year college located in northeast Iowa. The college has an enrollment of 2,500 students and offers a liberal arts education leading to a bachelor's degree in 60 majors and pre-professional programs.
