On Aug. 31, 1984, Gary DeWitt and Jane Singley were married
in Funks Grove Chapel of the Trees. Their attendants were
R.C. and Kathy Anderson.
The couple celebrated in July by taking a trip to Florida for an
eight-day stay. They flew into Naples Airport and an overnight
in Homestead, continuing on down the Florida Keys. Highlights
were Bahia Honda Beach, Key West and the southernmost tip of the
United States, an airboat ride through the Everglades, and
manatee hunting. They concluded their trip with Sanibel Island.
Gary and Jane are the parents of one child, Andrew James.
Gary has been with Mitsubishi Motors as an associate for 19
years. Jane works from home.

 Mr.
and Mrs. Jim Youngquist of Lincoln announce the engagement
of their daughter, Trisha to Christopher Maurer, son of Dr.
Joseph and Rosetta Maurer of Springfield, Illinois. Miss
Youngquist graduated summa cum laude from Southern Illinois
University Edwardsville with a bachelor of science in civil
engineering. She is now pursuing a master of science in
civil engineering at SIUE and plans to finish this December.
Mr. Maurer earned a bachelor of business administration in
1999 and will graduate with a doctor of dental medicine
degree in 2011 from Southern Illinois University School of
Dental Medicine. A December wedding is planned.
