Carroll Catholic students were in the school cafeteria on Friday making up gourmet brownies in a jar and M&M cookie mix. The mixes will be sold at Sunday's breakfast buffet at the school. The times for the buffet are 7:30 a.m. till noon, with tickets available at the door.

Railroad crossing closures come to Logan County

Train crossings are closed due to the track improvements being made for the coming high-speed rail system along the Chicago-St. Louis Amtrak route:

  • In Sherman: Wolf Creek was closed until Friday.

  • In Williamsville: Main Street open, Lester Road closed.

  • In Hurlbut Township: 450th Avenue closed, 600th Avenue closed.

  • Flaggers were scheduled to move up to Oglesby Street in Elkhart on Friday.
