Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and his wife, Kate, Duchess of
Cambridge, arrive at a charity event for Absolute Return for Kids,
ARK, in London, in this June 9 file photo.
It sounds like a bit of a racket: $4,000 for a
three-course meal and a chance to see a polo match up close, or $400
for a box lunch and a chance to see the same match from the more
distant bleachers. It gets better, however, when you throw in a
chance to rub shoulders with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,
especially in Southern California, where bragging about having a
glass of wine with Prince William and the former Kate Middleton may
just be worth the price of a used compact car or a week's vacation.
