ongratulations
to Hayden Matson. Hayden is a senior in the LCHS building trades
class and was honored by the Lincoln Kiwanis Club with the first
student of the month award for this school year. Making the
presentation is Bob Sullivan, Kiwanis president. Hayden is the
son of Roger and Julie Matson.

The
European rocket Ariane carrying telecommunications satellites lifts off from
South America after a one-day delay caused by a strike.
Arianespace says its Ariane 5 rocket released the first satellite for the Arab
Satellite Communications Organization into orbit about 27 minutes after taking
off Wednesday from the launch center in Kourou, French Guiana.

Saturday. Tom Hashman and
Linda Jacob were
married on
Sept. 24,
1971, at St.
Luke Lutheran
Church, San
Jose.

Hintz officiated,
and Gary Jacob
served as best
man and Rosemary
Frazee as the
maid of honor.
They are the
parents of Kevin
Hashman, Paula
(and Steven)
Crawford and Coralee (and
Brian)
Stoltzenburg.
They are also
blessed with
four
grandchildren:
Zach Lee and
Evan Crawford,
Emma and Kate
Stoltzenburg.

finally being published -- without his approval. British publisher Canongate said Wednesday that the book, billed as an
"unauthorized autobiography," will be for sale in stores and online
