first scoops of dirt at the groundbreaking for
their new home. Pictured from left to
right, Harley, son Aven, wife Chaka and son Dakyn will
soon be moving into the 17th Habitat for
Humanity home in Logan County. LDN will

Gene Mehan
carefully works with an artist's brush, adding a jersey to the "Railer
Man" balloon Sunday afternoon. The face of the Railer
Man was drawn by Mark Leslie. His artwork is part of the viaduct
street art project going on in Lincoln. The street artists
gathered again this weekend to add finishing touches to the two
projects. On Sunday afternoon several were still working
on the viaduct on South Kickapoo. Organizer Kathy Vinyard
said the group was hoping to be fully finished by the end of the
day.

charge. The full text of the obituaries is available online free of
charge in Logan County and across the world. Email condolences are
available from subscribing funeral homes. Ask your funeral director
to make sure the obituary of your loved one is placed in Lincoln
Daily News.

China's
Yu Wenxia has been crowned the 2012 Miss World. This is
the second time Miss China has been awarded the title. The
previous
time was in 2007, when Zhang Zilin took the honor. The
23-year-old Yu is a music student who says she wants to become a
music teacher.
This is the first time for the Inner Mongolian city of Ordos to
host the international beauty pageant. The city is one of
the richest regions in China, thanks to its abundant natural
resources. It hopes the world event will raise its profile for
economic development and tourism. Sanya, another Chinese
city, has hosted the contest several times.
The first runner-up is Sophie Elizabeth
Moulds of Wales, and the second runner-up is Jessica Michelle Kahawaty of Australia.
