This
month the Illinois Department of Transportation
along with Gold Wing Road Riders Association and
A Brotherhood Aimed Towards Education teamed up
to kick off the "Start Seeing Motorcycles"
campaign across the state.
Throughout
the rest of the riding season, motorists will be
reminded to "Start Seeing Motorcycles" in an
effort to help keep motorcyclists safe. Changing
the driving habits of motorists and
motorcyclists alike will help decrease the
number of motorcycle fatalities and injuries in
crashes.

Students
from Jefferson School walk in an orderly fashion
from their classrooms to the VFW on Fifth Street
Wednesday. They were participating in a reunification drill that would take them out of
harm's way in the event of an emergency at the
school and would establish a central location where
they could be reunited with family after a fire
or severe weather event.
