It has taken five years of complete
dedication to the project, but this week the Community Action
Partnership of Central Illinois cut the ribbon on the new
Logan Mason Public Transportation program.
The group actually began serving
the two counties in August, but this week they celebrated
all that they have achieved.
Program manager Angie Jenkins
and several Community Action staff and board members, joined by
chamber
ambassadors and chamber director Andi Hake, cut the ribbon
outside the Community Action offices in Lincoln, posed in front of two
of the vehicles that are being used in the program.
Board president Steve Lobb of
Clinton and board members Steve Waterworth and Pat O'Neill all spoke
in celebration of the day.
Afterward everyone was invited
inside for celebratory cake and punch.
